Oiselle Roga Short Giveaway!

I have an A-W-E-S-O-M-E giveaway to tell you about today!

If you follow me on Twitter or know me in real life, you know that I’m a little obsessed with Oiselle. It all started back in 2008 when I was sick of looking ridiculous in ugly, poofy running shorts. I did all my runs in cotton “cheerleading shorts” because they looked *better* but didn’t feel right for running. I had a friend who worked at the local running store, Super Jock N Jill, and she told me to try this new brand called Oiselle. She handed me the Marseille Short and I wanted to say “no thanks”. It looked like every other short on the rack. I guess just because I was too nice to say no, I tried on the shorts and they truly changed my running life. No poof. Perfect cut. Lightweight. Small key pocket inside. So flattering. I couldn’t believe it!

Oiselle’s Marseille Short was revolutionary in my mind, so I started buying other Oiselle apparel, and landed upon the Roga short. O-M-G! This short is a little slice of heaven.

Oiselle Roga

My most recent purchase, violet melange roga! Photo from www.oiselle.com

Here’s the Roga description from their website:

The Roga Short is a Oiselle classic. A super flattering yoga style waist band combined with weightless running shorts. It’s the short that started the Roga Revolution. If you haven’t run in the Roga yet you’ll understand the revolution as soon as your run in your first pair. No poof, super streamlined, one rear zip pocket, booty flattering wonder short!

If you crave a little more coverage, you’re in luck! The Roga Short also comes as the Long Roga Short now.

- yoga style waistband with drawstring
- technical liner with integrated pocket
- 4” inseam
- rear zip pocket
- four way stretch for full motion
- flatlocked inseams
- machine washable

A little side note from me: I don’t generally run with my iPhone but took it this past weekend for 17 miles. It fits perfectly into the back pocket of the Roga, doesn’t move at all, and I couldn’t feel it in there at all. Impressive!

SO GUESS WHAT?! The wonderful ladies at Oiselle are going to giveaway a pair of Oiselle Roga Shorts to one lucky Local Elite reader!

  1. I love the indigo/fresh green color! I just bought a Oiselle t-shirt and I’m in love with it! Perfectly cut, and cute to boot! Thanks for having this giveaway!!

  2. Running shorts: it’s just not fair.
    A wedgie from built-in underwear?
Give me shorts that just don’t bunch,
It’ll make me run faster! (I have a hunch)

:) lol, here’s your poem about running shorts!

  3. ok, here’s my goofy poem :)

please find me the perfect shorts for running
cuz the old puffy shorts are worth shunning!
    when i finally PR
i want to look like a star
and for my bum to look quite stunning!

  4. If I had more time I am sure I could do something much more clever, but my kids are begging for breakfast, so this is my ridiculous attempt…

Has running has become a drag?
Those shorts make you look like a douche bag
    Don’t continue to look goofy
No need to resort to the “poofy” or a “toga”
    Just try the Oiselle Roga!

  6. I had an opportunity to try these out recently. Until that point I wore running skirts because they’re more fitted and looked better than the “wear a bag” shorts I had used. Roga’s changed my running shorts mind and converted me!! Now I need to own a pair! I’d choose black just because for my first pair I want to be able to wear them with anything, then I’d start adding colors because anything hot pink is, well, hot pink!!
I follow you on twitter as well

  7. While training for 26-2,
Only one pair of shorts would do.
    They once were fantastic,
    But now their elastic
Is gone, and I fear that they’re through!

  8. Ok, so black goes with everything, but I am liking that violet melange like you have! So far I have still been running in capris because I don’t like running shorts look, and the tight ones ride up my legs! I need these!!! :)

  9. Ooooh!!! I want to try these shorts!!! I would go for the basic black ones, because I am boring with my bottoms;-)

  10. I like the Indigo/fresh green and the Violet; how can you not enjoy pink running shorts! Thanks for the awesome giveaway; happy running!

  11. Here’s my poem:
    Roses are red
    Violets are blue
    Rogas are cool
    And I want them new!

And I spent entirely too much time just trying to pull that together – I am not a poet!!;)

  12. I thought I was the only one who hated the poofy bum shorts! Those suck! I’m definitely feeling the Indio Rogas… Will need to had them to my ever growing wish list.

  13. Would LOVE to try these shorts. Heard the BEST things about them. This is my first summer running in shorts. EVER. Only ran in them twice because cant find the perfect fit! LOVE the indigo color.

  14. I’ve never run in shorts
    But this summer’s really hot
I made up this poem for Rogas
    Because, seriously, why not!
